Social Gospel Vs. Gospel
Every time we have a ministry in the not christian area the people were scared to come because the people thought that in order to have a benefit from the baptist church they should also become one or become a baptist because it is their mean reason why they help. It is partly true because we really reach out or helping them to know Christ through the ministry that we are in but also we are doing this not only for the benefit of the church but because of the love of God. this is very dangerous to the church itself because it is tempting to do it especially when there is an opportunity but as a servant of Christ we should put it in a way that it is pleasing to God's sight, we should not take advantage with the people we are ministering let them decide with their own and do not force them to believe what we believe just because we are helping them, it's a big no.
Through our ministry we are sharing the word of God, through our helping hands and through our availability we are showing God's love to his people. It may be tempting to advantage but we should always do the right thing at first. and also we should be firm in what we believe in that God is gentle God and just. He knows what to do and everything that is hidden to us. We should be faithful in our works and God will do the rest.

Being pure is not complete without His word and His grace
Being pure is essential in serving God but when we took it literally it is different already.
When we were still enemy of God, we were not pure in front of Him because of the sin we committed that broke his heart. still he made a way for us to become pure again and sent his son for us to become new again and to have an everlasting life. he has given us the chance of second purity.
The Puritans were believing that they can please God if they are pure in every way. and in applying it in the church it is very helpful because we can say that we are not guilty in from of God and men when we work in our ministries. and it is also helpful for the worker himself because it gives harmony in everything he does. But still it should done in biblical way not just making himself pure in his work just to please others but it should be glorifying to God.
And when we apply being a puritan in the aspects of our worship to God in a biblical sound way. It is very aromatic to God because we are worshiping him in all that we are without blemish yet we are still human so this cannot be applied into our lives without the grace of God. We cannot do anything apart Him. We can only be without blemish when the times come that we are going to have a fellowship with God in heaven, someday.

God's providence is Active in our lives
What I learned of God's providence in my life is that God is always using my life even if it's good for to look at and bad, He is still in control of my life. I really don't like my past especially when I was young because I was not able to enjoy my childhood in the aspect of playing. My mom delivered my second sibling and because we don't have money to support our needs, my mom needs to work and sadly i'm the only one left for the child to care and when my baby brother grew up like five years old my mom gave birth again to another child and I needed to take care of the child again. So for me, I escaped being a child and skip to adulthood because I took care of my siblings when they were young. And today I can see God's hand moving in my life, He uses my experience before in my present ministry today.
Another evidence that God had been working throughout my life is when He allowed evil things to happened.
I experienced becoming a bad person. A daughter that was very disappointing, disobedience to my parents. I made friends that were bad influence to me and my parents lost their hope for me. In that worst scenario of my life came the opportunity for me to know Christ. My neighbor invited me to go on a camp because she said to have fun and I grabbed that. and after the camp I participated myself in the church but still I was pain in the eyes to my parents. Then my pastor's wife persuaded me to go to a Christian school and without hesitation I Go and that big decision change my life now. I can see the patterns that God is making and still He uses me even if I am not worthy.
I can say that God's providence is present in my life because simply he supplies my life even today. I experienced many near death situation yet I am still breathing and kicking. God has something for me someday that He would not allow me to be with Him yet and I praise Him for my life.
God's providence is active as long as your heart and eyes are open with it but even if you don't know He is actively working in our lives.

People's hatred always have an origin. Just like emperor Julian. I myself had also hatred to other people, my trust to other people was shattered. when my so called best friend betrayed me. we were high school back then and i was part of a gang group so every time we did not like a person in the campus without any reason we always make trouble to hurt that person and time came when i was their victim they hurt me because they heard a news that i did not even do but my other friend set me up because she wanted me to be kick out in our group. they hurt me physically and evn emotionally because i trusted them as my friends. after that incident i did not have any close friend at all. gladly, after two years by the help of God i was able to find a good friend again but not the same character with my last friend.
Circumstances can make a person bitter and the other one is to become better. it is our choice what to choose.As what emperor Julian choice in hurting the Christian people before to have his revenge in killing his family was a bad choice. Yet, God is sovereign. He allowed it to happened because He has a purpose. and i can see the good come out of that persecutions. Because of that persecutions the Christians became strong in their faith, they fulfilled the plan of God in their lives and they become our model of faith in the present times.
BE ON GUARD
I was once a paganist, who worship icons or idols. In Catholic church the leaders and the priest taught us to pray to the Santos, Marias and even to the rosaries. Growing up I don't have any idea what was wrong because everybody were doing it. just like the black Friday people worship the black Nazarene and believing that the statue can heal if you touch even the heel of that saint. I was sad because the moment I heard this my mom got sick and wanted to heal her through my faith on touching the black Nazarene. unfortunately the story was not yet end they said the only healer was the black Nazarene that was put in manila. I was young then so I was not able to do it, that very moment I hate God because He did not helped me to fulfill what i wanted to do back then, to touch even the heal of that statue.
This kind of belief poisoned the minds of the people, that instead of worshiping God it is shifting to the saints and the santo Niños. It also divert and hardened the heart of the people. This is a great opportunity for us believes to reach out to them because they are hungered to worship. I know what they feel because I once felt that. Little by little I am telling my mom not to worship any Santos but she is clever because when i am home she hid the idols but when i'm gone to school she will put it back it happened when i was freshmen here in school but by God's grace, my mom now is involved in the church and slowly getting rid of her icons.
WE believers should be on Guard as well by reading the word of God everyday, pray and have faith to God. we should be firm.

Martin Luther Be Like
I heard many news about the persecutions of missionaries all over the world. They were persecuted for what they believed in, laying their lives to the person they worship and love. The famous persecutors are the Isis in 21st century for they believed if they will kill they will have merits in heaven as what their Allah said. One news that I heard was from Mindanao and I was not Christian yet. They were American couples, the Muslims captured them both when they were in their room in the middle of the night to make the story short the man was able to tell them the gospel because they were captured for a long time due to the transaction of money but still in the end the man got killed and his wife was release. After a year the wife came back to Mindanao to minister to the people even after all what had happened to her and to her husband. For other people it is nonsense because of the thinking that why do we need to suffer for others, why do we need to love others if they can cause us pain and why do we lay down our lives to God if we cherish it the most. But for Martin Luther giving his life to God and surrendering everything to God were all worth it. He was really a brave person who stand up for his belief and those missionaries that were killed because they did not recant were also brave just like Martin. and hopefully God will rise up another generation just as Justin Martyr and other martyrs. In these days finding that courage is very rare because their are many good opportunities a person can have and it grabs the hearts of the people to listen to God's calling in their lives. people are more focus on the physical satisfaction than to spiritual one. Martin's life was a good demonstration of a brave faith that all believers should imitate.
Having that courage is available if you make yourself available also for the work of God. Standing on our faith is hard but to neglect and set aside our faith for the sake of our lives is foolish.

Persecuted but not Crushed
We had
our first forum and I had a hard time on my blog because it was my
first time also in having this kind of electronic pad, (I can say)but
thanks to my classmates who helped me. The topic was about persecution
of the saints and the believers of Christ. Also the persecution we
are facing today in many different form. When I received Christ in my
heart, they were many opposition I encountered from my family, friends
and even my neighbors. They thought I was possessed by the evil spirit in believing to the baptist. They knew and witnessed
that I am leading the rosary prayer everyday and in a blink of
an eye I am already out in the church and joined another church that
they looked as a cultist group. My dad told me that I am a
disobedient child and I disrespected him but I told him that it is my own decision to have that salvation that I am longing for. Salvation that has everlasting life because I was very disgusted
with my life before and i was dying inside but my parents did not know that they were only judging my outside actions. But when I received Christ everything's change.
There is excitement everyday I woke up. Even my neighbor and my dad kept on
telling me that I was wrong I did not get back from what i believe in but still their words
were hurtful and sometimes I fall short and tried to believe what are they saying.
Time goes by and when they can see me now, they can see the change in me by the grace of God. And i am excited soon to come out and shared to the world that I am living the life that Christ had given me,it may be hard but i can things by His grace.
